All set-ups are professional and guaranteed, performed with precision tools and equipment and of course over 20 years of experience from Mike Navarro, which determines neck diagnosis before adjusting any other part of the guitar.
We repair and modify every kind of electronics on all kinds of string instruments. We can also build the electronics to your liking and/or needs, plus we have other different custom electronics that we can offer you as an option. We install pre-amps EQ's and pickups on acoustic instruments.
We can make any kind of paint job, no matter what: if you have seen it just once on a guitar, car, motorcycle, airplane etc., we can make it. Airbrush graphics, pin stripe, logos etc. We can also make an aging effect to any instrument. Let's say you have a 20 year old Fender that needs a pick guard but you don't want the look of a brand new pick guard on your gracefully aged fender, we can make that pick guard look like it's as old as the guitar. We also do jobs in nitrocellulose, acrylic and urethane. We also do epoxy fingerboard paintjobs on fretless basses.
We perform high-precision fret jobs, we calibrate fret to fret with a tension simulator, which is indispensable for a perfect fret job. We repair any defect the fret board might have. We straighten up necks with heat application, we repair twisted necks with a technique developed by Mike Navarro that has proven to be more effective than the traditional way. We do any kind of Pearl Inlay job, be it the traditional way or custom. We also replace bindings. We manufacture every kind of guitar nuts, from brass to bone, graphite etc.
We design string instrument bridges: just let us know what you have in mind and we can materialize it (soon we will do chrome, nickel and gold-plating jobs, plus powder painting hardware jobs). We replace, modify or repair acoustic bridges, no matter if it's classic or metal strings. We reset dreadnought bridges with a technique designed by Mike Navarro that guarantees results never been thought of to guitars that the only salvation could've been an expensive neck reset job. For a much lower price, the guitar will not lose any sound quality or effectiveness.
We install from pickups to electronic parts, hardware and necks. Just bring us the parts you want to install and we will professionally install them for you.
We restore any kind of guitar to its original state as if it just left the factory, or we can give it an aging effect that it should have by the time of its restoration.
We assemble your specialized guitar with high-quality parts from Warmoth or All-Parts. These guitars will have a mark on the headstock of the company the parts came from. For example… All Parts by Navarro. This means that Mike Navarro assembled the guitar but he didn't hand crafted it.
We have the biggest guitar and bass parts inventory in Puerto Rico.
Mike Navarro himself makes Navarro guitars with carefully selected woods (Mike himself selects the woods). The majority of the wood inventory in Guitar Zone is carefully stored for long periods of time (some pieces date as far back as 1995). All my models are original designs, created in my shop of precision design and meticulously thought of and based to the musician needs, traditional or modern. I have created models aimed at any music genre, from the heaviest metal to the most conservative jazz player, studio or live performance.
All my instruments are completely made in the shop, known as "old school hand crafted guitars". The woods are bought raw; the fret boards are shaped, planed, slotted and pressed in shop. Inlays, trus rod, veneers, topes, bindings (wood), guitar nuts and some hardware parts, including some custom bridges and tail pieces are made in the shop, (soon we will be making pickups as well). In case you have the guitar or bass of your dreams in your mind, we can help you with its design. We can make any kind of solid or semi-solid guitar, bass, cuatro or violin. Every single instrument maintains a unique individualism because of their completely hand crafted necks, (no CNC or Duplicator here) with the highly praised "human error" element, just like those instruments made by Leo Fender and Orville H. Gibson but assisted with today's technology. Every guitar or bass is personalized upon request. We let the client choose neck thickness, fret size, color, electronics and pickups, type of guitar nut, bindings color, type and shape of inlay material, type of bridge and hardware, in the end we let you decide how your guitar or bass should look and feel. In case of a custom instrument, you can give us an idea of what you want or we can design it for you to your specifications even the shape of the body. Tension is applied to every neck for days before being planed, fretted, assembled and painted. All Navarro instruments have an end-to-end one-year warranty for any manufacturing defects. |
